Thailand – Khon Kaen

Arrived at Poi-pet Border (Thai-Cambodia Border) on the 13th of February, My destination was Khon Kaen, the capital of the the North East region of Thailand.
Unfortunately It is quite far away from the boarder and I was very tired from Cambodia so I decided to rest at Nakhon Ratchasima (A province next to Khon kaen) on the 13th night, and left Nakhon Ratchasima for Khon kaen the next morning.

The reason I came to Khon Kaen was Amanda. You might remember her in my previous posts in Tokyo and in Hongkong. I wanted to spent some time with her and get to be with her more. So I spent 2 full weeks with her and got to meet her friends and family in Thailand.  Amanda helps her family runs a business in Khon kaen and she also runs her own little students agency on a side.

I arrived on the 14th and We were very happy to see each other.

I spent my days with her , helping her with a little bit of work.
Luckily ,I was there when there was a festival call “Ngan Mai” the city celebrates at this time every year for 10 days.
And a very special dancing ceremony that her mom attended to,
This dance ceremony is for the shrine in the city, There were 35,000 dancers on that day, They believed that the dance was for good luck and fortune.

During my time in Khon kaen, I spent a lot of time meeting her friends and  visit her big family.

After 1 week with her we decided to go to Laos together.
